Based on the Brahms Horn Trio, Op.40, where Brahms wrote for the horn rather than the conventional cello, the Morton Trio are a successful classical trio from Christchurch, New Zealand. As well as the Op.40 Brahms, this album features an arrangement of the Brahms Piano Trio No. 1 in B Major; and an outstanding original composition by violinist Arna Morton. Infectious performances of these works, recorded at The Piano venue in Christchurch NZ, confirm the Morton Trio as a leading addition to the national classical chamber music scene.
